What do I get when I dry hire Silent Disco party equipment?
For the Silent Disco hire adventure you are about to embark on, you will receive the following items as standard when using our hire services:
- Silent Disco Headphones: Special headphones that pick up your party audio on radio frequencies. They are set as standard to pick up 3 different channels of audio so your guests can select the tunes they want to hear. Their dazzling LED lights shimmer at your party and make quite the spectacle. See how phenomenal they look below!
- Silent Disco Transmitters: These smart inoffensive transmitters are the driving force behind your Silent Disco party. Plug your music/audio playing device into the transmitter, play your audio (just like you’d play music on Spotify) and your transmitter will then broadcast your banging tunes, soulful grooves and cheesy hits to the Silent Disco headphones - it’s just like listening to the radio.
Part of what makes a Silent Disco at a party ever so special is the fact that you can broadcast upto 3 different audio sources at once. When hiring a Silent Disco you will traditionally have 3 transmitters that you can plug into 3 different devices, enabling you to play 3 different songs at once! The power supplies for the transmitters will be included in your Silent Disco party hire along with the 3.5mm audio cables needed to connect your transmitters to your audio playing devices. You can use such as: mobile phones, laptops, tablets and more.
If you’re lucky/unlucky enough to not have a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack on your phone (or device), you will need to supply your own USB-C/Lighning to 3.5mm adaptor. What can I use to play audio at my Silent Disco party?
It’s entirely up to you, this is a huge variable! Depending on your party, guests and budget; we can help you find the right fit to make your Silent Disco unforgettable whilst fitting neatly into your budget.
The most cost effective and convenient way to deliver audio at your Silent Disco party is to use playlists created on music streaming services such as: Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music. Before the event curate, a playlist that is bound to ‘get the people going’, plug your music playing device into a Silent Disco transmitter, hit play and enjoy the party. Repeat the above x3 and you’ll have a full blown Silent Disco setup that would even make major UK festivals jealous.
Hire a DJ; if you have the budget and are looking to add more clout? A DJ is a ‘sure-fire’ way to add more ‘zing’ to your event. Providing a spectacle and delivering more engagement to your Silent Disco party. A DJ will drop tunes depending on the vibes of your event, get your party-goers hyped, and take you on a rollercoaster ride of rhythms through the night to suit your groove.
How do I hand out and collect the Silent Disco headphones from my guests?
It’s up to you how you do this. You can hand the headphones out to your guests on their arrival to your party and collect them off your guests at the door as they leave, this is a tried and Silent Disco King approved way of distribution and collection that we tend to use at our major events.
For parties, it is also common that guests can help themselves to a set of headphones that are displayed on a table. When they are finished, they can then return the headphones back to the table they got them from.
For other methods, speak to our team - they are well equipped with first-hand experience of this.
