Silent Disco King Lit up Forbidden Forest

Forbidden Forest

One of the many great things about working at our festivals is getting to visit places that might never have been on your radar, and Belvoir Castle is an absolute beaut.

Forbidden Forest is a well established festival, they added a camping option in 2022, opening up a whole new world of opportunities for you lucky festival-goers.

Silent Disco King was there to provide late night entertainment and it was off the scale.

We were super excited to be invited back, and made sure to load the arctic with extra headphones because loads more people opted to camp and join the party this year.

After reminding ourselves how to set up tents and make pot noodles, we were ready for action as soon as the first campers started streaming in at midday. Those in the know from last year were straight over to get their headphones ready for the first session on Friday night.

Sometimes the stars just align, and Forbidden Forest did not disappoint. Beautiful sunshine, a friendly crowd and next level decor which included epic stages, aztec structures and a lake hidden within the trees. Pulling it all together, a solid line up of top tier DJs and acts including Andy C, Wilkinson, MK, Patrick Topping, Hannah Wants and Todd Terry. Example drew an impressive singalong crowd, and the onsite vibe was that Forbidden Forest was an absolute rave.

The SDK team stayed busy on site, hosting an additional secret VIP silent disco for Boo Hoo, and our unique technology projected stage audio across the fairground thrill rides.

As each day's line up drew to a close, Silent Disco King took over and kept the party going with a stellar selection of Dj’s covering Drum n Bass, House and festival bangers.

Silent Disco King planned an epic end to the festival with a monster beat-driven battle between “Hang the DJs” and “Girls Next Door”.

“Girls Next Door” turned up with a squad of female DJ’s, MCs and singers, all looking super glam.

Ms Pink requested pink lights on headphones for their channel, and we were delighted to deliver.

Forbidden Forest drew to a close with thousands of hardcover ravers dancing right to the end in a sea of lights switching between green and pink.

We had an amazing time and can’t wait to be back at Forbidden Forest in 2024.
