How to Set Up Your Parrot Beltpack Transmitter

Setting up your Parrot portable transmitter takes under a minute. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Insert Batteries or Power Cable: Press and pull the clips on the front battery cover to remove it. Insert 2 x AA batteries, or connect the 5V power supply cable for stationary use.
  2. Connect Music Source: Plug your phone, tablet, or MP3 player into the 3.5mm audio input jack using the provided 3.5mm cable.
  3. Connect Microphone: Plug your lapel or headset microphone into the dedicated 3.5mm microphone input jack.
  4. Power On the Transmitter: Press and hold the Power / On-Off button until the backlit digital screen turns on.
  5. Select Broadcast Channel: Press and hold the Mode (M) button to unlock the channel controls until the screen flashes. Use the directional channel buttons to cycle to Channel 1, 2, or 3.
  6. Tune Headphones: Turn on your Silent Disco headphones (Harry, Joe, Bob, Zed, or Tom) and switch them to the matching channel color!
Pro Tip for Walking Tours & Fitness Classes: Clip the Parrot onto your waistband or belt using the built-in belt clip. The dual input allows you to play background music at full volume while speaking clearly through the lapel mic!
